Angelini Beauty strengthens its long-term partnership with the Trussardi group

Rome, 14 October 2022 – Angelini Beauty, a subsidiary of the Italian multi-business group Angelini Industries operating in the selective perfumery and dermocosmetics sectors, has signed a long-term agreement with Trussardi that sets out the extension and strengthening of the exclusive brand management of the historic fashion house for perfumery and cosmetics products, of which it has been the licensee since 2010. The transaction aims to continue to enhance the value of Maison Trussardi fragrances, a key Made in Italy brand, by consolidating its presence in the markets already covered, including Italy, Germany, Spain, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, and by fostering market penetration in areas of strategic importance for the brand's growth, such as the Far East, in part through investments in production, sales on new channels, and communication.

In a highly competitive sector like perfumery, the partnership with Trussardi in the fragrances and cosmetics category is a fundamental step in our company’s growth strategy,” explained Lluís Plà Fernandez-Villacañas, President and CEO of Angelini Beauty. “The development pathway we have outlined will consolidate the presence of the Trussardi brand in current markets on the one hand, thanks to the diversification of distribution channels, and on the other hand the entry into new markets to seize the opportunities offered by areas that are not yet covered”.

“The extension and strengthening of today’s agreement with Angelini Beauty confirms the validity of a successful strategic partnership that was born in 2010 and that now has even more ambitious international development goals. At the same time, the project to relaunch the Trussardi Group, which will soon reopen the doors of its historic headquarters in Piazza della Scala and offer a unique Milanese lifestyle concept of ‘Food & Fashion’, is moving forward”, noted Sebastian Suhl, Trussardi CEO.

The agreement covers all the perfume brands of the historic house, namely: Trussardi Uomo and Trussardi Donna, the luxury collection Le Vie di Milano and the Levriero Collection for men and women, totaling more than 15 product lines. Angelini Beauty will also be able to develop new fragrances under the Trussardi brand. The transaction is part of a process of strengthening the company’s portfolio. This process includes not only investment in new brands, with the recent acquisition of new licenses, but also the enhancement of historical and prestigious brands such as Trussardi perfumes, present in over 80 countries worldwide with fragrances for the male and female market positioned in the premium and ultra-premium bracket.

Angelini Beauty was assisted in the transaction by the Angelini Industries Legal Department, while Trussardi was supported by the legal advisor Chiomenti.
